What is Tumeric Curcumin?
Tumeric, or turmeric, is a ginger plant that grows in the tropical regions of Asia. Turmeric has the botanical name Curcuma longa and is known as yellow ginger, saffron root, turmeric root or curcuma.
Turmeric owes its name "yellow ginger" to its rhizome . This looks very similar to ginger and has an intense yellow color. The root is the most sought-after part of the ginger plant, as it is rich in curcuminoids.
