What is vitamin D3?
Vitamin D3 is not so much a vitamin as a hormone. However, this is not the only special feature of vitamin D. It is also the only vitamin that can be produced by the body itself . All it needs is sunlight. Vitamin D3 is produced with the help of a cholesterol precursor and converted into the active form calcitriol in the liver and kidneys .
What is vitamin D3 good for?
