What is Omega 3?
Omega-3 fatty acids are long-chain, polyunsaturated fatty acids that play an important role in health . Two important representatives are docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).
What effect do EPA and DHA have?
DHA is particularly important during pregnancy. Through the intake of DHA (200 mg) through breast milk, it contributes to the normal brain development of the foetus and breastfed infant[1].
Together with EPA, the two omega-3 fatty acids (at least 250 mg) contribute to the normal function of the heart , among other things.

Where does omega 3 occur naturally?
Vegetable fats such as linseed oil, rapeseed oil, algae oil, walnut oil, avocados, chia seeds and nuts arerich in omega-3. Fish such as herring, salmon, mackerel and tuna are rich in omega-3.
