What is vitamin D3 cholecalciferol?
Vitamin D as cholecalciferol is the precursor of active vitamin D and is converted into active calcitriol in the body.[1] Vitamin D3 is primarily produced by the body with the help of UV radiation from the sun , but can also be obtained in certain amounts from food .[2]
